A customer in a Dubai dealership is rarely in and out. They wait for a sales adviser, sit through a test-drive briefing, then wait again while finance and registration paperwork is prepared. The service centre is the same story with a longer clock. Choosing the right coffee machine for a car showroom in Dubai is therefore less about staff perks and more about hospitality: what a customer is handed in the lounge says something about the brand on the forecourt.
This guide compares the three setups dealerships in the UAE actually use, what each one costs, and how to pick the right one for your floor.
Why the showroom is different from an office
In an office the coffee machine serves the same thirty people every day. In a showroom the people at the machine change every hour, and most of them are customers. That shifts three things:
- Who drinks. Customers, family members waiting with them, and the sales team between appointments. Volume rises on weekends and in the evening, not at 9 am.
- What they drink. Our automotive locations lean towards espresso, cappuccino and karak. A guest who would never queue at a café will accept a cup that is already being offered.
- How it looks. The machine sits in view of the cars. A worn capsule unit or an urn of instant coffee next to a new car is the wrong signal, which is why showrooms ask about the cup and the front panel more than any other sector.
Three ways to set up a coffee machine for a car showroom
1. A barista behind a counter
Larger dealerships in Dubai hire a barista for the customer lounge, and the role is common enough to show up regularly on UAE job boards. It gives the most personal service, but you carry a salary, visa, accommodation and cover for days off, plus a commercial espresso machine and someone to service it. When the barista is on break, the lounge has no coffee.
2. A self-service bean-to-cup machine
A touchscreen machine grinds fresh beans for every cup and makes the full menu at the press of a button, around the clock. Sales staff can offer "a cappuccino?" and have it in under a minute without leaving the customer. This is the setup most mid-size dealerships, used-car traders and service centres choose.
3. A professional espresso machine for your own barista
If you already employ a barista, the question is only the equipment and the coffee. A commercial espresso machine paired with fresh beans gives your barista the same tools as a specialty café.
Barista, self-service or both — side by side
| Setup | Who makes the coffee | Hours covered | What the dealer pays |
|---|---|---|---|
| Own barista + own machine | Barista | Barista's shift | Salary, visa, machine, beans, servicing |
| Self-service machine (CoffeeGo) | Customer or sales adviser | All opening hours | Ingredients only, from AED 1,000 / month |
| Rocket Espresso + your barista (CoffeeGo) | Your barista | Barista's shift | Coffee only, from AED 1,500 / month |
Many showrooms end up combining the two: a barista for the VIP lounge on the busiest days, and a self-service machine in the service-centre waiting area that never closes.
What to check before you choose a showroom coffee machine
- No plumbing. Showroom floors are finished and expensive to open up. Our machines run on bottled water and need only a power socket and 1–2 m² of floor.
- The menu. Fourteen drinks on one machine, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, hot chocolate and karak, so families and staff are covered by the same unit.
- Cleaning and refills. In a customer-facing lounge an empty bean hopper is visible. Check that service visits, refills and repairs are included rather than billed per call-out.
- Payment, if needed. In a shared building or a busy service centre you can let visitors pay by card on a Nayax terminal instead of serving every cup free.
- Installation time. Ours is usually 3–5 business days once the location is agreed.
A free coffee machine for your car showroom: how CoffeeGo works
Automotive businesses are one of the larger groups on our client list: car trading groups, a motors dealership, a tyre service and a bike workshop, across Deira, Sheikh Zayed Road and Business Bay. The model is the same as for any office. We install a Jetinno or Necta bean-to-cup machine free of charge, deliver beans from our own roastery in Dubai, and handle servicing, repairs and replacement. You pay for ingredients only, and your customers and staff drink for free. For dealerships with their own barista we place a Rocket Espresso machine on the same terms, with coffee from AED 1,500 a month.
See how other sectors use the same machines on our office coffee machines by industry page, or read the full offer on office coffee machine in Dubai. If your showroom sits in a building with heavy public footfall, the model for landlords and venues can pay you instead.
Tell us your location, opening hours and roughly how many customers visit a day. We will suggest the right machine and a monthly figure within one business day.
